The DST milli-T is a small waterproof data logger to measure temperature. Data is stored in memory and all measurements are time related, utilising a real time clock inside the DST.

For temperature measurements in oceans, fresh water, soil, beverages and various other applications.
Housing is specially designed for tagging fish in order to analyze fish migration.
Ideal as a stand-alone logger for researches in oceans and lakes, or for temperature measurements in liquids.
Weighs only 9.2g in air and 5g in water.
Dimensions are 38.4mm (length) x 12.5mm (diameter).
Memory capacity is 43,000 measurements.
Temperature range -1°C to +40°C (30°F to 104°F). Outside ranges available upon request.

Applications

DST milli-T is ideal as a stand-alone logger for temperature recordings. The miniature temperature logger is used in various research projects for collecting temperature in rivers, lakes and oceans. With the small size, it can also be used for various research projects measuring temperature in liquids such as beverages, antifreeze liquids, break fluid, oil, diesel and gasoline. Star-Oddi offers a protective housing specially designed for the DST milli-T made of polyurethane plastic.

DST milli-T white housing is specially designed for tagging fish to analyze fish migration, distribution, feeding behavior, vertical and horizontal movements. DST milli-T can be implanted into the fish or fastened externally. The customers can choose their own text that is printed on the outside of the housing. The housing is made of bio-compatible material, which does not endanger the health of the tagged animal. The non-transparent housing ensures that the sunlight does not affect the measurements creating more reliable data.

Easy to use

DST milli is supported by the SeaStar software for Windows, and a communication box which connects to a computer. All communication and data transfer is wireless via the communication box. Prior to usage, and for data retrieval, the DST is inserted into the box for establishing communication through the SeaStar software. The user sets the start date/time and sampling interval. After retrieving the data, the DST can be re-programmed and reused for as long as the battery lasts.
