The data recorders are assembled and calibrated at Star-Oddi, using accurate calibration equipment. We offer recalibration if needed, battery replacement, and overall inspection and repair if required.

The small design of the instruments has been made possible by careful selection of modern microminiature electronic components. The recorders are controlled by an ultra low power microprocessor, enabling a long battery life and deployment.

Through many years of experience and special assignments, Star-Oddi has gained valuable expertise. We have been working closely with experts in different fields, but mainly with scientists working on behavioral studies of fish in oceans and lakes, to find patterns on feeding, distribution, migration and movements. 

We have also participated in tagging cruises with our Underwater Tagging Equipment, where we have been tagging redfish in their natural environment.
Star-Oddi can gather a team of engineers and biologists to be assigned or assist on a research project in your chosen area, and either complete a part of the project or do the entire study.
