Communication box
For communicating with the DST Series, a special communication box from Star-Oddi is supplied.  The recorder is inserted into the hole in the box.   The recorder is twisted until the green light is on.   Communication can be established using the SeaStar software. Communication is wireless (RF). Even if battery dies, the user can always retrieve data because the recorder is fed with power from the PC computer through the communication box. The communication box can be connected to a computer using either the supplied 9 pin serial cable or the USB cable.
