The SeaStar software allows the user to define the start time of recordings (year/month/date, /hour/min.). Thus it is possible to save data memory until the recorder is placed at the measuring site. This feature is also convenient when several recorders are required to start recording at the same time. The user also defines the sampling interval, which can be from 1 second to few hours. The user has the option to define more than one sampling interval for memory increase efficiency. Up to seven different sampling intervals can be defined. The user also defines number of measurements to be taken at each interval. The intervals recycle until memory is full. The DST milli automatically gets the clock from the PC computer once connection is established.
The SeaStar software retrieves the accumulated data and processes it in graphs and tabular form. Data files are automatically stored on the computer's hard drive. The data can be exported to other data processing software packages (for example Excel). The chart can be saved as bitmap (bmp) or Windows Metafile (wmf) files, for importing into other programs (for example Word). Chart can be zoomed in and edited.
