Easy to Use, small and lightweight

Due to the small size of the logger, the PU monitor can easily be fitted inside the cans or bottles. The sample can or bottle will therefore be processed through tunnel pasteurization process with other cans/bottles. The supporting software FoodStar, automatically displays the Pasteurization Units (PU) both in a graphical presentation and in tabular forms. Temperature and pressure recordings are time related.  

The DST milli-PU data logger is a small temperature and pressure logger that is placed inside a sample can or bottle with a "Spider Cap" bracket that places the data logger in the center of the can/bottle, insuring accurate data collection. The plastic legs of the spider bracket can be cut, to adjust the height. The can/bottle can be closed after inserting the bracket and logger, minimizing the possibility of leaks. The DST milli-PU logger dimensions are 38.4mm (length) x 12.5mm (diameter). The main purpose of the small pasteurization data logger is to improve the biological stability of the final product.

Pasteurization Data Logger (Pasteurisation)

The data is stored into the internal memory of the PU monitor / logger. The data can then be retrieved once the recorder has passed through the pasteurizer. It gives the following control data:

• Temperature and pressure values
• Maximum temperature (and pressure)
• Time spent above 60°C (all measurements are time related)
• Total accumulated pasteurization units (PU values)
• Transit time

DST milli-PU is supported by the FoodStar software for Windows, and a communication box which connects to a PC computer.  All communications and data transfer is wireless via the communication box.  Prior to usage, and for data retrieval, the DST is inserted into the box for establishing communication through the FoodStar software.  The recordings can be initiated instantly or at any time in the future. All data can be easily exported into other programs such as Microsoft Excel.
The user sets the start date/time and sampling interval.   The data (temperature, pressure and PU value) are shown in a graph and table, along with date and time. After retrieving the data, the pasteurization data logger can be re-programmed and reused as long as the battery lasts.

Each PU monitor is sold separately. As a start kit, the user needs one (or more) PU monitor(s), one communication box and supporting FoodStar software.
