Thorsteinn Sigurdsson & Vilhjalmur Thorsteinsson from Marine Research Institute in Iceland (MRI) write about Star-Oddi's Underwater Tagging Equipment (UTE) in the latest issue of EEZ International. In the article "Underwater Tagging of Deep Sea Redfish, A new tool for fish management" the authors describe how MRI in Iceland is able to tag redfish by a robot, in the fishes own environment, thus avoiding the hazardous trip to the surface.
