PatternFinder launched in September

Star-Oddi is launching a new addition to the software product family; a graphic data analysis software PatternFinder will be available for our customers this September.

Our leading software engineers started working on developing PatternFinder a few years back to answer the demand from our customers for more options in data analysis. During the development project the tasks multiplied and with our customers help we found the core features we wanted to include in PatternFinder. Our main goal with PatternFinder is to save your time and money by making data analysis faster, more efficient and easy.

In PatternFinder you can analyse data from one or several loggers, just one sequence or several sequences at a time. PatternFinder is the perfect tool for analysing large amounts of data that otherwise would take a long time to process. Often making sense out of years worth of data from the tagged animal or looking for a pattern in gear study results is the heaviest part of your research, with PatternFinder we can make this task easier.

As the name indicates, PatternFinder was originally designed to look for patterns in large quantity data. You can define the patterns that you wish to look for in the data, patterns just like the one you are interested in or similar patterns (% similarity), and the software will find all the occurrences of the defined pattern. You can also have the software search for any possible patterns in the data, keeping in mind that narrowing the search narrows the received results.

There is more to PatternFinder than just pattern finding. The main features offered in PatternFinder are:

PatternFinder works seamlessly with our data logging system supporting software’s SeaStar, Mercury and FoodStar and all data from Star-Oddi loggers. You can also import text format data from other loggers and systems and export result data to other software’s. PatternFinder is in constant development and more functions will be added.
